I am what I call a “former fatty.” As a young girl and woman, I struggled with weight gain. I’d lose and gain and lose and gain more. Finally, in my early 30s, I decided to change my lifestyle in terms of what I eat and regular exercise.
Today, I follow what I call a “heart healthy” lifestyle. I eat a lot of veggies, lean protein (no beef) and healthy carbs. For exercise, I mostly run. As a matter of fact, I have run two marathons and I have run several half marathons. In the last couple of weeks, I ran the Arizona Distant Classic Valley of the Sun in Oro Valley. I’ve run it every year since its inception six years ago. I don’t have a picture yet of me in that event, but I’ve included a picture of me running at a half marathon in San Francisco, as well as climbing the Inca Trail to Maccu Piccu with my husband, Larry, in 2008.
Some of my former and recent clients include diabetics, those with gluten-free needs, heart attack and cancer patients. If you have specific dietary needs, I can help you accommodate them without sacrificing taste!
